Sit Down, Be Humble

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” — James 4:6

In the infamous lyrics, “Sit down, Be humble” by Kendrick Lamar was playing in my head and it reminded me that we must be humble. Our humility in our success determines our future success. The realization that all the gifts that we have been given are God-given. That realization and in working each day to grow closer to Christ we ourselves must become meeker and humble ourselves to our God who breathes life into us, who has given our talents to succeed, and has given us this wonderful journey of life. Do not seek your pride in front of Jesus, you will left empty. However, in humility we can find wholeness in surrendering to the present moment that exists because of our grateful Father.
