Confess Our Sins

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9

When you are little if you have very strict and rigid parents you may feel scared to confess your wrong doings. I remember when I was little I cut an apple in the kitchen with a knife when my Amma told me not to. This caused me to cut my palm right down the center. This but was not a small cut, it went across my whole palm and would not stop bleeding. I was so scared to tell my Amma because I had disobeyed what she told me. I kept wrapping the wound in paper towels and it would bleed straight through all the tissues I wrapped. I was getting so scared that I finally told my Amma. However, she lovingly told me it is okay and tended to my wound.

Just like my Amma our heavenly Father is the same. Jesus the way you forgive and look at us in our sinful nature is something that makes me grateful to pray and worship you everyday. You know that I sin and I am not perfect, often repeating the same sin, but the more I repent the more I talk to you, and the more I put you first the more I know you loving Grace and Forgiveness. Thank you always for Forgiving me Jesus and helping me when I know I cannot do it alone. In time of darkness and sin I will always find light in you, within me.
